Objective:To study the incidence of small intestinal bacteria overgrowth in the patients with colon tumor and its influence on the gastrointestinal symptoms of the patients, and observe the effect of live combined Bacillus Subtilis and Enterococcus Faecium Enteric-coated on the patients with SIBO,in order to provide reference for the treatment of colon cancer, and to help relieve symptoms and improve the patients' quality of life. Methods:From September 2014 to September 2016,123 patients with colon cancer in the department of gastroenterology, oncology, gastrointestinal surgery in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University were selected as the observation group, there were 75 males and 48 females. At the same time 30 healthy people were selected as the control group, and there were 18 males and 12 females. All the patients were given lactulose hydrogen breath test(LHBT),to investigate the incidence of SIBO in the patients with colon cancer and to compare the incidence of SIBO in the patients with colon cancer with healthy people.Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)(Table 1)was performed in all the patients in the observation group, and calculate the total score of each patient, then compare the difference of gastrointestinal symptoms score between the patients with SIBO and the patients without SIBO.The paitients with SIBO in observation group took live combined Bacillus Subtilis and Enterococcus Faecium Enteric-coated 1500mg/d for 7days on the basis of the original treatment, and reviewed LHBT and undergo gastrointestinal symptoms score after the treatment, then compare the incidence of SIBO and clinical symptom scores after therapied.,in order to clarify the effect of live combined Bacillus Subtilis and Enterococcus Faecium Enteric-coated on the patients with SIBO.Attention: During the treatment, the drugs such as antibiotics, gastrointestinal motility drugs,PPI,etc.should not be used.Results:1.In the observation group, there were 74 SIBO positive(account for about 60.2% of the total number),significantly higher than that in the healthy control group(20%).The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The average age of the observation group was 58.7 ±10.02,compared to the control group(57.9±9.42),there was no statistical significance(P>0.05),as well as the gender in two groups(P>0.05);The average age of patients with SIBO in the observation group was(59.8± 10.85),which is higher than that in the negative(53.5 ± 9.79),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),while there was no statistical significance in gender.2.In the observation group, the digestive symptom integral in patients with SIBO was significantly higher than that of SIBO negative patients, the difference was statistically significant.3.SIBO positive patients in the observation group were treated with live combined Bacillus Subtilis and Enterococcus Faecium Enteric-coated for 7 days, then all of them reviewed LHBT and undergo gastrointestinal symptoms score after the treatment. The intestinal bacterial clearance rate was 54%.After the treatment, the digestive symptom integral was lower than before(9.0±2.11vs10.6±2.35),the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion:1.Patients with colon cancer were more likely to combine with SIBO than healthy people.2.The gastrointestinal symptoms score in patients with SIBO was higher than that in the patients without SIBO,which may indicate that when combined with SIBO,gastrointestinal symptoms in patients with colon cancer would be increased.3.One week's treatment with live combined Bacillus Subtilis and Enterococcus Faecium Enteric-coated on the patients with SIBO can improve gastrointestinal symptoms.
