A Clinical Curative Effect Observation Of Genu Recurvatum During Spastic Period Of Cerebral Apoplexy With Acupuncture In The Affected Back Thigh’s Meridian Sinew Nodal Points

Objective:To investigate the curative effect on genu recurvatum during the spastic period of cerebral apoplexy using traditional acupuncture with electro-therapeutic apparatus and electro-acupuncture to stimulate meridian sinew nodal points,which may provide new treatment thoughts to treat genu recurvatum during the spastic period.Methods:Forty cases of patients with genu recurvatum during the spastic period of cerebral apoplexy were chosen from No.1 Acupuncture Ward and Outpatient Service,from May 2016 to December 2016,with the modified Ashworth classes from the first to the third,strength grade levels from the third to the fourth and Bruunstrom classification from III to V.The patients were consistent with the diagnostic criteria for cerebral apoplexy,and were all in a stable condition.Patients were randomly divided into two groups—Control Group and Treatment Group.The number of two groups of patients was equal.Neurology routine drug treatment was used to all the forty patients.Control group and treatment group of patients were performed with conventional scalp acupuncture and upper limb acupuncture treatment.Control group of patients were applied with scalp acupuncture,upper limb acupuncture with electro-therapeutic apparatus treatment complied with the teaching material of "twelfth five-year" plan Acupuncture.Treatment group:patients used the same points on head,upper limb and crus.And the back thigh’s meridian sinew nodal points were chosen to stimulate with electro-therapeutic apparatus.After Deqi(needling sensation),connected the therapeutic apparatus,using the thin wave.Amplitude size should be tolerated by patients.After six days’ treatment,one day off.After six weeks’treatment,according to Holden walking function evaluation,Loudon genu recurvatum diagnosis method,knee joint ROM evaluation,data entry and statistic analysis were dealt with SPSS 17.0 statistical software.Results:1.According to Loudon genu recurvatum curative standard after treatment,Control group:twelve cases were improved,eight cases were invalid.Treatment group:eighteen cases were improved,two cases were invalid,which is much better than control group(p<0.05).2.Two groups of patients’ Holden functional walk ability had been greatly improved(p<0.05).Treatment group improved better than control group.3.Through the comparison of ROM after treatment between two groups,treatment group’s curative effect increased more significantly.Conclusion:Treating genu recurvatum during the spastic period of cerebral apoplexy using meridian sinew nodal points with electro-acupuncture are both effective,but the above is better than traditional acupuncture with electro-acupuncture treatment.
