| Objective:To investigate the relationship between Platelet parameters and blood lipid in patients with essential hypertension. Methods:The changes of blood lipid, platelet parameters, body mass index, age and gender indexes were detected in 204 patients with essential hypertension(observation group)and 208 patients without essential hypertension(control group)to analyze the correlation between Platelet parameters and blood lipid. Results:The levels of triglyceride, cholesterol, apolipoprotein B,Mean platelet volume,Platelet distributive width,Platelet hematocrit,Body mass index and age in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group and high density lipoprotein cholesterol and apolipoprotein A-I in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group(P<0.05).The proportion of males was significantly higher than the proportion of female in observation group and higher than that in control group(P<0.05).After adjustment for age and gender factors, plateletcrit was correlated with cholesterol in observation group. Conclusion:Mean platelet volume is positively correlated with low density lipoprotein cholesterol, triglyceride, cholesterol, apolipoprotein B,body mass index in patients with essential hypertension, and it is negatively correlated with high density lipoprotein cholesterol, apolipoprotein A-I in patients with essential hypertension.Platelet hematocrit is positively correlated with cholesterol, apolipoprotein B in patients with primary hypertension.Platelet distributive width is positively correlated with triglyceride, cholesterol in patients with essential hypertension.and Cholesterol increase and platelet activation are the important factors for the development and progression of essential hypertention. |
