[Objective]To investigate the clinicopathological features and prognostic factors of GEP-NENs,and provide further reference for early diagnosis and treatment.[Method]The clinical data of 232 patients with definite GEP-NENs who were admitted to Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences Cancer Hospital between 2001 and 2010 were retrospectively analyzed.Patients were followed up till July,2016.The SPSS18.0 was adopted to statistical analysis. The Kaplan-Meier method was used for drawing the survival curve and calculating the survival rate. The univariate analysis was done by log-rank test and the muhivariate analysis was done by COX proportional hazards model. All data P are two-side tested and P<0.05 has statistical significance.[Results]Among the group of 232 patients, age, gender, bad habits, and BMI index all have statistical difference between various pathological grading.A total of 116 cases showed clinical symptoms of diarrhea and dyspepsia. One case showed Zollinger-Ellison syndrome;one was characterized by a whipple triad;and one patient was diagnosed with Carcinoid heart disease. The detection rate of gastrointestinal endoscope and CT examination were 100%and 91.3%.227 patients gained effective follow-up.The follow-up time was from 1 to 187 months. The overall median survival time was 80 months. The 1,3 and 5 year survival rates were 83.7%,68.3%and 63.9%,respectively.Single-factor analysis for patients with effective follow-up showed that:age, gender, bad habits, depth of tumor invasion, lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis, tumor grade, pathological margins, tumor thrombus and nerve invasion are all related to the prognosis of patients(P<0.05).COX regression analysis of the above factors suggest that:age, gender, distant metastasis are independent factors affecting prognosis.[Conclusions]Most GEP-NENs have no specific clinical characteristics. The main symptoms are changed defecation nature caused by space occupying lesion and feeding disorder. The main means of diagnosis are gastroscope and CT,and the major treatment method is resection.Age,gender and whether focus metastasis or not all have connection to prognostic factors.Early diagnosis and treatment remain important problems to be solved.[Purpose]To explore the clinicalpathological characteristics and prognosis of rectal neuroendocrine neoplasm(RNEN),and provide the evidences for standard diagnosis and treatment of RNET patients.[Methods]The clinicalpathological characteristics and prognostic data of 109 patients with RNENs,who diagnosed in Cancer Hospital,Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences from 2001 to 2010 were retrospectively analyzed.Tumor' s classification were observed.Kaplan-Meier methods and Cox Proportional Hazard Model were used to calculate the overall 3-,5-and 10-year survival rate and the potential prognostic factors, respectively.[Results]A total of 109 patients were included in the final analysis,91 cases(83.48%)were neuroendocrine tumor(NET),9 cases(8.26%)were neuroendocrine carcinoma(NEC)and 9 cases(8.26%)were unknown. The average age of diagnosis was 50.58(±11.90),male/female ratio was 1.51 and most cases were residents living in the urban area. After a median follow-up of 8.12(95%CI:7.32-8.85)year,the 3-,5-and 10-year overall survival rate were 91.23%(95%:83.83-95.34%)?88.20%(80.14-93.12%)and 84.20%(95%CI:74.85-90.29%),respectively.Furthermore,the results from Cox proportional hazard model showed that age(HR = 5.80,95%CI:1.36-24.77),lymph node metastasis(HR = 7.15,95%CI:2.27-24.83)and distant metastasis(HR = 7.42,95%CI:1.98-27.76)were independent prognostic risk factors of RNENs.[Conclusions]RNENs usually occur in older(?60 year),male and urban residents with a good prognosis.Age,lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis are independent prognostic risk factors of RNENs.
