With the development of society and economic,the diet adjustment and the tansformation of lifestyle,coronary atherosclerotic heart disease(CHD)has become an great threat to human health,vascular stent implantation is known as the main treatment for CHD,the performance of the stent determine the results which coming after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)treatment.The development of coronary stent includes bare metal stent(BMS),the era of drug-eluting stent(DES)and the promising application of biodegradable stent(BDS).The clinical practice is now dominated by DES,while expanding the indications of PCI;the use of DES can significantly reduce the risk of in-stent restenosis(ISR)at its early stage,nevertheless,it can interfere with the processof re-endothelialization,delayed neointimal healing which lead to the formation of lately stent thrombosis(ST)and ISR,therefore accelerating the repair of re-endothelializations in lesion coronary artery has great significance.BDS is expected to overcome these defects after its coming out,it can uniquely provide short radial support and resulting in being absorbed gradually,which thus bring far-reaching significance,and not only have a positive effect on the coronary endothelium,but also can reduce the bleeding risk which long-term use of anti platelet drugs brought.In conclusion,This article generally described the development of coronary interventional therapy,summarized clinical trials and types related to the current use of BDS,points out the advantages and difficulties,and a positive outlook for the future development of BDS.
