BackgroundWith the continuous development of the economy, the improvement of living standards, the change of lifestyle, the aging of the population, the incidence of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)has increased rapidly, which is one of the most important chronic non-infectious diseases.According to the IDF Diabetes Map published by the International Diabetes Federation(IDF)in 2015,about 8.8%of adults aged 20 to 79 have diabetes worldwide, which means that there are about 415 million Diabetes mellitus. The number of diabetic patients in China reached 109.6 million, ranking first in the world,of which type 2 diabetes accounted for more than 90%of the total number of diabetic patients. From the above survey data,China's diabetes situation is very serious.China has become the world's fastest growing countries with diabetes.China has become more than India as the world's largest diabetes mellitus. The increasing number of people with diabetes will not only bring great harm to human health, but also bring huge medical burden to the development of social economy. Therefore, diabetes has become a major global public health problems.Prevention and treatment should focus on type 2 diabetes.Type 2 diabetes patients due to pancreatic beta cell dysfunction, insulin secretion caused by insufficient blood sugar. Thus, early intervention in improving beta cell function is particularly important in the treatment of type 2 diabetes strategies. For the newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes, early implementation of short-term intensive insulin therapy, can quickly remove the glucose toxicity, partial recovery of pancreatic ?-cell function, and some patients in a period of time can not rely on hypoglycemic agents and maintain blood sugar standards,to achieve clinical "cure" The possibility of diabetes.ObjectiveThe aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of Liraglutide combined with Glargine Insulin in the treatment of newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients.MethodThere were 61 cases of newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes patients were selected in the study from the Endocrine department of our hospital between the August 2014 and December 2015.We divided all cases into two groups randomly and analysed the effect of the two groups before and after treatment. The observation group(29 cases)were treated with liraglutide combined with glargine insulin and the control group(32 cases)were treated with intensive insulin therapy.ResultsThe present study demonstrated that all the patients blood sugar and HOMA-IR(fasting plasma glucose FPG,postprandial 2 hours blood glucose PPG,glycosylated hemoglobin HbA1c,HOMA-IR),blood lipid and body mass index were decreased in the treatment during the 12 weeks follow-up period. However, the observation group had a faster effect treatment and the above indexes were significantly improved than 4 weeks before. But for the control group, the above indicators were statistically significant difference should be 12 weeks of treatment. At the same time, the above indicators were significantly than the control group, with the observation group in the treatment of 4 and 12 weeks later(P<0.05).ConclusionIn the present study,it was determined that Liraglutide combined with Glargine Insulin was beneficial to lower blood glucose, blood lipid regulation, lower quality and recovery of the function of islet after 12 weeks of follow-up,and the study was worthy of clinical application.
