Objective(s):To evaluate the qualitative and quantitative value of two-dimensional echocardiography in transcatheter closure of atrial septal defect(TCASD),transcatheter closure of ventricular septal defect(TCVSD)and transcatheter closure of patent ductus arteriosus(TCPDA).Summarize the method of the diameters of ASD,VSD and PDA measured by two-dimensional echocardiography.Methods:523 patients who were diagnosed ASD by TTE in the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from January 2014 to December 2016.174 were male,349 were female,average age(30.78 ± 19.20)years old.275(52.6%)patients who were only diagnosed by TTE before the transcatheter closure,248(47.4%)patients who were diagnosed by TTE and TEE before the transcatheter closure.To compare all patients diagnosed by TTE and(or)TEE before the transcatheter closure with after transcatheter closure diagnosis.Do the correlation analysis of the ASDmax measured by TTE and(or)TEE with the size of ASO respectively.The regression equations were achieved.102 patients who were measured ASDmax by TTE with hard-rim and soft-rim before the transcatheter closure.Do the correlation analysis between the ASDmax with hard-rim and soft-rim measured by TTE,or the ASDmax measured by TEE with the size of ASO respectively.The regression equations were achieved.170 patients who were diagnosed VSD by TTE in the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from January 2014 to December 2016.87 were male,83 were female,average age(15.76±15.80)years old.To compare all patients diagnosed by TTE before the transcatheter closure and after transcatheter closure diagnosis.Do the correlation analysis of the diameter of VSD left side,waist and right side measured by TTE with the size of VSO respectively.The regression equations were achieved.160 patients who were diagnosed patent ductus arteriosus(PDA)by TTE in the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from January 2014 to December 2016.47 were male,113 were female,average age(15.44±15.03)years old.To compare all patients diagnosed by TTE before the transcatheter closure with after transcatheter closure diagnosis.Do the correlation analysis of the PDADao with aortic artery side diameter of ADO,and do the correlation analysis of the PDADpa with Pulmonary artery side diameter of ADO respectively.The regression equations were achieved.Results:1.The accuracy of 275(100%)patients who were only diagnosed by TTE and the accuracy of 248(100%)patients who were diagnosed by TTE and TEE were no statistical differences(P>0.05).ASD can be accurately diagnosed by TTE.The accuracy of 168(100%)patients who were diagnosed VSD by TTE before the transcatheter closure.The accuracy of 160(100%)patients who were diagnosed PDA by TTE before the transcatheter closure.2.The relationship between TTE measure the ASDmax and the size of ASOs.A statistical correlation between TTE and ASO size(r = 0.7,P<0.001),The regression equations;Y=9.835+0.737x(P<0.05).3.The relationship between TTE or TEE measure the ASDmax and the sizs of ASOs respectively.There were statistical correlation between TTE or TEE measure the ASDmax and the ASO size respectively(r = 0.670,P<0.001 r = 0.716,P<0.001),a better correlation was found between TTE and ASO size.The regression equations:TTE and ASO size:Y = 14.176 + 0.681x(P<0.05),TEE and ASO size:Y = 13.236 + 0.643x(P<0.05).4.There was the relationship between the soft-rim ASDmax or hard-rim ASDmax measured by TTE and the size of ASO respectively.There were statistical correlation between the soft-rim ASDmax or hard-rim ASDmax with the ASO size respectively(r?0.718,P<0.001;r=0.723,P<0.001),a better correlation was found between hard-rim ASDmax and ASO size.The regression equations:soft-rim ASDmax and the ASO size:Y=8.220+0.938x(P<0.05),hard-rim ASDmax and the ASO size:Y=3.454+0.921x(P<0.05).5.There were relationship between the soft-rim ASDmax,hard-rim ASDmax measured by TTE or the ASDmax measured by TEE and the ASO size respectively.There were statistical correlation between the soft-rim ASDmax,hard-rim ASDmax measured by TTE or ASDmax measured by TEE and the ASO size respectively(r?0.790,P<0.001;r?0.741,P<0.001;r=0.739,P<0.001),a best correlation was found between the soft-rim ASDmax and ASO size.The regression equations:soft-rim ASDmax and the ASO size:Y = 13.253+0.775x(P<0.05),hard-rim ASDmax and the ASO size:Y?8.936+0.765x(P<0.05),TEE and ASO size:Y= 13.245+0.674x(P<0.05).6.There was relationship between the diameter of VSD left side,waist or right side measured by TTE and the size of VSOs respectively.A statistical correlation was observed between the diameter of VSD left side,waist or right side measured by TTE with VSO size respectively(r=0.559,P<0.001;r=0.481,P<0.001,r=0.362,P<0.001),a best correlation was found between the diameter of VSD left side measured by TTE and VSO size.The regression equations:the diameter of VSD left side measured by TTE and VSO size:Y?4.073 +0.489x(P<0.05);the diameter of VSD waist measured by TTE and VSO size:Y?4.085 + 0.657x(P<0.05);the diameter of VSD right side measured by TTE and VSO size:Y?5.705+0.376x(P<0.05).7.The relationship between the PDADao and aortic artery side diameter of ADO,and the relationship between the PDADpa and Pulmonary artery side diameter of ADO.There was a statistical correlation between the PDADao and aortic artery side diameter of ADO,and a statistical correlation between the PDADpa and Pulmonary artery side diameter of ADO respectively(r= 0.721,P<0.001;r?0.653,P<0.001),a better correlation was found between the PDADao and aortic artery side diameter of ADO.The regression equations:the PDADao and aortic artery side diameter of ADO:Y = 5.159 + 0.809x(P<0.05);PD ADpa and Pulmonary artery side diameter of ADO:Y = 5.255 + 0.656x(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.Two-dimensional echocardiography can accurately qualitatively diagnose ASD,VSD and PDA.2.There were statistical correlation between TTE as well as TEE with the ASO size respectively.there was better measured the ASDmax by TEE to guide to choose ASO size.There were statistical correlation between the soft-rim ASDmax,hard-rim ASDmax measured by TTE or ASDmax measured by TEE and the ASO size respectively,a better correlation was found between hard-rim ASDmax measured by TTE and ASO size.So we strongly suggested that soft-rim ASDmax without the complete support should be exclude when measured by TTE or TEE.3.A statistical correlation between the diameter of VSD left side,waist or right side measured by TTE and VSO size respectively.It was recomended that the VSD left side diameter measured by TTE can be used to guide to choose VSO size.4.There was statistical correlation between the PDADao and aortic artery side diameter of ADO,and a statistical correlation between the PD ADpa and Pulmonary artery side diameter of ADO.A better correlation was found between the PDADao and aortic artery side diameter of ADO.It suggested that on the basis of PDADao diameter to choose the size of the closure device.
