Objective:By detecting the protein expression of Ki-67,E-cadherin,p53 in TNBC and NTNBC,to investigate its relationship with clinicopathological variables of TNBC,to explore their correlation and prognostic value of TNBC.Methods:The expression of p53,Ki-67,E-cadherin in 52 cases of TNBC and 52 cases of NTNBC was assessed by immunohistochemistry method.We evaluated the prognostic value of p53,Ki-67,E-cadherin in TNBC.Results:1.The positive expression rates for p53 of TNBC and NTNBC were respectively 67.3% and 44.2%.The positive expression rates for p53 of TNBC were higher than that of NTNBC(?2=5.613,P=0.018).The positive expression rates for p53 of TNBC were associated with histological grade,tumor size,and TNM stage(all P<0.05),while were not correlated with lymph node metastasis,age and menopausal status(all P>0.05).Kaplan-Meier survival curves showed the overall survival of patients with the negative expression for p53 of TNBC had significantly longer than that with positive expression of p53(P<0.05).2.The positive expression rates for Ki-67 of TNBC and NTNBC were respectively 80.8% and 61.5%.The positive expression rates for Ki-67 of TNBC were higher than that of NTNBC(?2=4.685,P=0.030).The positive expression rates for Ki-67 of TNBC were associated with lymph node metastasis and TNM stage(both P<0.05),while were not correlated with tumor size,age,histological grade and menopausal status(all P>0.05).Kaplan-Meier survival curves showed the overall survival of patients with the negative expression for Ki-67 of TNBC had significantly longer than that with positive expression of Ki-67(P<0.05).3.The positive expression rates for E-cadherin of TNBC and NTNBC were respectively 26.9% and 48.1%.The positive expression rates for E-cadherin of TNBC were lower than that of NTNBC(?2=4.964,P=0.026).The positive expression rates for E-cadherin of TNBC were associated with TNM stage,lymph node status and tumor size(all P<0.05),while were not correlated with histological grade,age and menopausal status(all P>0.05).Kaplan-Meier survival curves showed the overall survival of patients with the positive expression for E-cadherin of TNBC had significantly longer than that with negative expression of Ki-67(P<0.05).4.Kaplan-Meier surval curves showed the survival time of patients with the co-expression of p53-negative,Ki-67-negative,E-cadherin-positive had significantly longer than that with the co-expression of p53-positive,Ki-67-positive,E-cadherin-negative(P<0.05).5.The expression of p53 positively correlated with the expression of Ki-67 in TNBC tissues(r=0.388,P=0.004).The expression of p53 negatively correlated with the expression of E-cadherin in TNBC tissues(r=-0.686,P=0.000).The expression of Ki-67 negatively correlated with the expression of E-cadherin in TNBC tissues(r=-0.584,P=0.000).6.Univariate Cox regression analysis showed that tumor size,TNM stage,lymph node metastasis,the expression of p53,Ki-67 and E-cadherin were significantly factors affecting the survival prognosis of TNBC(all P<0.05).Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that lymph node metastasis,and the expression of p53,Ki-67,E-cadherin were dependent prognostic factors of TNBC(all P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The high-expression of p53,Ki-67 has poor prognosis of TNBC,while the low-expression of E-cadherin was correlated with good prognosis of TNBC.2.Therefore,p53,Ki-67 and E-cadherin maybe involve in the occurrence,development,invasion,and metastasis of TNBC.The combination of p53,Ki-67 and E-cadherin might provide molecular target in the therapy of TNBC.
