Nowadays, China turns to face its Aging population problems, which leads to unprecedented focus on heath issue for every family in China, people are paying more attentions to their Health Care Service level than ever was, which also leads to opportunities to our public hospital and challenges as well.With the growth of for-profit hospitals in China, Health Care Market competition becomes quite intense. Public hospital cannot survive in such a fierce market competition without powerful internal/external management, which requires a scientific and effective performance management system.This article summarized the current research and studies of Performance Management System(PMS) from both China and abroad. By taking Hospital ā€œDā€ for instance, analyzed its current PMS considering its financial status, strategies ahead. Reformed its whole PMS by using and applying high-level discussion, brainstorming, consulting experts, PDCA, Score Cards and KPI, finally enhanced the efficiency and performance of PMS of hospital D. In the end, the author also provided solutions to multiple potential risks which may happen during the implementation.Hopefully this article may be applicable for our medical institutes those are in similar positions.
