Osteoarthritis(OA)is a common form of arthritis,and the current view is that osteoarthritis affects not only the articular cartilage but also the synovial and subchondral bone.Preliminary studies,the researchers generally concerned only with changes in articular cartilage,and later gradually recognized the subchondral bone in the course of osteoarthritis is very important and subchondral bone in the primary stage of arthritis occurred in abnormal bone remodeling.Bone remodeling in organisms is checked by both mechanical and biological factors,but mechanics researchers only focus on the effect of mechanical factors on bone remodeling and neglect the effect of biology on bone remodeling.In this study,the effects of mechanical factors on bone remodeling were considered by finite element simulation of subchondral bone remodeling under biologic factors.This paper summarizes two types of cytokines that have an impact on bone remodeling in response to the regulation of biological factors in bone remodeling.One type of cytokines is interleukin and tumor necrosis factor,which promote bone resorption,and the other is insulin-like growth factor and transforming growth factor which promote bone formation.These two types of cytokines are under a very significant influence on bone remodeling threshold.In previous bone-reconstruction simulations,each investigator did not have a fixed criterion for the value of bone resorption thresholds,since biotic factors were not regarded as.In this study,the bone remodeling threshold was 0.458 J/g in the normal state and the bone mineral density of the femoral subchondral bone of the control group was established in the beginning and the fourth month.G.In the same way,rats in the experimental group(osteoarthritis disease)were simulated and calculated.The threshold of bone remodeling was 0.486 J/g.In the control group and the experimental group rats because of these two types of biochemical indicators in different bone regeneration threshold caused by the difference.Using the calculated bone resorption threshold,we calculated the BMD of the tibial subchondral bone in the control group and the experimental group at the second month,which was 4.3% and 3.5% of the bone mineral density in the literature.The bone remodeling threshold has a reference value.Through the above study,we can get the accurate bone remodeling threshold value under the condition of the healthy state and the osteoarthritis state,and the bone reconstruction threshold under osteoarthritis becomes larger,which can provides more reliable data to simulate more accurately the bone reconstruction process.
