The Value Of Endometriosis Fertility Index(EFI)and American Society For Reproductive Medicine Stage(ASRM)in Predicting Reproductive Performance For Infertile Women With Endometriosis After Surgery

?objective? To explore the value of endometriosis fertility index(EFI)and American Society for Reproductive Medicine stage(ASRM)in predicting pregnancy outcome for women with endometriosis-associated infertility after conservative laparoscopic surgery.?Methods? 158 infertile women with endometriosis who underwent conservative laparoscopic surgery from Mar.2011 to Sep.2014 were selected,staged patients basing on American Society for Reproductive Medicine stage(ASRM),calculated EFI score according to EFI standards items;chi-square test and ROC curve were used to assess the difference between ASRM stages and EFI scores.?Results?1.ASRM I-IV stages had statistical significance(P<0.05);but when we removed the stage IV,we found there is no statistical significance(P>0.05).Combing EFI scores of 8-10 to a group,scores of 4-7 to a group,scores of 1-3 to a group,it showed P<0.001.which had statistical significance.2.the area under ROC curve of EFI score and ASRM stage were 0.820 and 0.351,EFI score had diagnostic value,ASRM stage had little diagnostic value.3.total factors of medical history influenced the cumulative pregnancy outcome by two-regression analysis(OR>1),in addition,age was the critical factor.?Conclusion? EFI is a more efficient method to predict spontaneous pregnancy rate for women with endometriosis-related infertility after conservative laparoscopic surgery,moreover,the patients of EFI score ? 6.5and age ? 35 years have higher pregnancy rate.however,ARSM stage is not good for predict pregnancy outcome.
