Objective:1 To investigate the changes of high sensitive C reactive protein(hs-CRP)and brachial ankle pulse wave velocity(baPWV)in patients with prehypertension(PHT)and overweight.2 To analyze factors of affecting baPWV.Methods:A tolal of 251 participants examined in the medical examination center of the second hospital of Shanxi medical university from April 2015 to December 2016 between the age from 35 to 75 were collected.Their blood pressure,height and weight were measured.At the same time body mass index(BMI)were calculated through the formula.According to the blood pressure and BMI,all of participants were divided into four groups:the normal control group(n=61),the overweight group(n=67),the prehypertension group(n=62)and the prehypertension combined with overweight group(n=61).The basic data of all participants such as name,gender,age,smoking history and other information were collected by the way of a standardized questionnaire.The serum fasting plasma glucose(FPG),triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),uric acid and creatinine were measured respectively.baPWV was measured by the arterial stiffness diagnosis instrument(VP-1000)produced by the colin company.And hs-CRP was assayed by the way of particle enhanced immunoturbidimetry.Results:hs-CRP in the overweight group,prehypertension group and prehypertension combined with overweight group were higher than in the normal control group(P < 0.05);and it was higher in the prehypertension combined with overweight group than in the overweight group and prehypertension group(P < 0.05);The factorial analysis showed there were interactions between prehypertension and overweight on hs-CRP(P < 0.05).When overweight was combined or not combined with prehypertension,it would increase the level of hs-CRP(P < 0.05).When prehypertension was combined or not combined with overweight,it would increase the level of hs-CRP(P < 0.05).baPWV in the prehypertension group and prehypertension combined with overweight group were higher than the normal control group and overweight group(P <0.05);baPWV in the overweight group showed no significant difference with the normal control group(P > 0.05);baPWV in the prehypertension combined with overweight group had no significant difference compared with the prehypertension group(P > 0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that age,systolic blood pressure,diastolic blood pressure,FPG,hs-CRP,TG,TC and heart rate were positively correlated with baPWV(correlation coefficient r= 0.484,0.609,0.443,0.252,0.256,0.158,0.142,0.178,P <0.05).Further multiple linear regression analysis showed that age,systolic blood pressure,heart rate and FPG were significantly associated with baPWV.Conclusion:Compared with the normal control group,hs-CRP was increased in the overweight group and the prehypertension group,and further increased in the prehypertension combined with overweight group.It suggested that low-grade inflammation had existed in prehypertension and overweight.The effect of prehypertension and overweight on inflammation might be synergistic,and inflammation was also involved in the occurrence and development of prehypertension and overweight.baPWV in the prehypertension group was higher than those in the normal controlgroup,which suggested that the arterial stiffness of prehypertension population was increased,and the function and structure of the blood vessels had been abnormal before the development of hypertension.There was no significant difference in baPWV between PO group and normal control group,which indicated that the overweight had not shown significant damage of vascular elasticity.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that age,systolic blood pressure,FPG and heart rate were significantly associated with baPWV,so we need to control blood pressure and heart rate,and improve metabolic disorders to delay the process of arterial stiffness in the clinical work.
