Objective:To perform a systematic review in order to evaluate the efficacy and safety of anticoagulation therapy for portal vein thrombosis in patients with liver cirrhosis. Methods:Cochrane Library,PubMed,EMBASE,Web of Science,ScienceDirect and CNKI,Wanfang database,VIP database were searched on liver cirrhosis complicated with portal vein thrombosis, all studies included were clinical control study for anticoagulant therapy. The studies were screened and the datas were extracted.Meta-analysis was performed by using Review Manager5.3.5.The Count data were represented by Odds Ratio(OR)and 95 % confidence interval(95%CI).Results:Seven literature studies were enrolled in this study. There were a total of 343 patients with liver cirrhosis complicated with portal vein thrombosis, including anticoagulation therapy group(n = 187)and non-anticoagulation therapy group(n = 156).The Meta-analysis showed that anticoagulation therapy group was higher than non-anticoagulation therapy group on portal vein recanalization rate in cirrhotic patients complicated portal venous theombosis,[OR=7.31,95%CI(4.15,12.87),Z=6.89,P<0.00001],however adverse events rate such as the bleeding incidence was not statistically significant differences between anticoagulation therapy group and non-anticoagulation therapy group,[OR=0.36,95%CI(0.07,1.91),Z=1.20,P=0.23].Conclusion:Anticoagulation therapy is effective for the treatment of portal vein thrombosis in patients with liver cirrhosis, nevertheless its safety is still to be further studied.
