Objective in order to find and intervene IM with liver function damage, analyze the clinical characteristics of children with infectious mononucleosis(infectious mononucleosis,IM)and the related factors of liver function damage. Methods the clinical data of 102 hospitalized children with IM were retrospectively analyzed, including the demographic characteristics, clinical manifestations, laboratory tests and complications of IM patients.56 patients with liver function damage were enrolled in this study,The age, gender, season and severity of disease were statistically analyzed.Result 1.102 cases of hospitalized patients were enrolled, male to female ratio was 2.29:1.The age of the patients was from 10 months to 12 years old,and the mean age was(4.75±2.82)years old.The largest number of cases is 3~7 years old group. The peak incidence of IM is autumn.2.Fever,cervical lymphadenopathy and angina were classic triad manifestation of IM.Angina, hepatomegaly and eyelids edema are more common in young children than older children, and the incidence decreased with age.3.White blood cells,CRP,PCT,ferritin increased more significantly in older children than in the infant group. The values of serum ALT and AST were significantly lower in the infant group than in the elderly group,it presented an increased trend with age.4.Major complications of IM included pneumonia, thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, and other hematological problems. The most common complication is pneumonia, the incidence of pneumonia increased with age.5.There is a significant difference in the age of patients with liver function damage, the older, the higher incidence occured. The incidence of liver function impairment varied in different seasons, the difference was statistically significant,It is most common in autumn(81.80%),followed by spring,.The damage of liver function were significantly different with different duration of the disease and the duration of fever. The longer the duration of the disease, the longer the duration of fever, the greater possibility of liver injury. There was significant difference between mild group and moderate group, severe group, and it was more likely to have liver function damage in children with more severe disease.ConclusionIM is mainly occured in preschool children, especially in children aged 3 to 7 years old.The majority clinical manifestations of children is fever, cervical lymphadenopathy and angina. The clinical symptoms, physical signs, laboratory findings, and complications of the patients varied with age,but the prognosis was good. The level of liver function damage in children with IM was related to the age, season, duration of fever and severity of illness.Clinical treatment of IM is symptomatic support therapy and antiviral treatment. We should be attention to the case of serious complications, and should be regularly reviewed and followed up,diagnosis earlier and intervene the liver function damage.
