Objective To investigate the expression of Nanog and Oct4 in cervical cancer and its clinical significance.Methods Forty patients with cervical cancer admitted in our hospital from May 2015 to April 2016 were selected as the subjects of the study group.At the same time,thirty cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia III(CINIII)and ten cases of uterine fibroids patients undergoing hysterectomy to obtain normal cervical tissue were selected as control group.The expression of Nanog and Oct4 in cervical cancer tissues,CIN tissues and normal cervical tissues were detected by SP immunohistochemical staining.The relationship between Nanog and Oct4 expression and the clinicopathological features of cervical cancer were analyzed;Meanwhile the correlation between the expression of Nanog and Oct4 was analyzed.Results A)Immunohistochemical staining results showed that both Nanog and Oct4 were presented in cervical tissues.The positive expression of Nanog showed a focal point,less accumulation in the nucleus and mostly exists in the interface between matrix and the edge of the nests.The positive expression of Oct4 was brown granular and mostly expressed in the nucleus.By comparison,the positive expression of Nanog and Oct4 in cervical carcinoma were 92.50%,92.50%,and the positive expression of CIN in cervical tissues were 70%,76.67%,the lowest positive rate in normal cervical tissues,only 20% and 20%.Compared with the three groups two by two,there were statistically significant differences(P < 0.05).B)The expression of Oct4 IOD in cervical cancer tissues,CIN tissues and normal cervical tissues were(15.84 ± 3.25)×102,(10.39 ± 2.98)×102 and(1.35 ± 0.52)×102.IOD levels of the three groups were significantly different(P < 0.05);The expression of Nanog IOD in cervical cancer tissues,CIN tissues and normal cervical tissues were(49.57 ± 15.24)×102,(32.31 ± 4.85)×102 and(8.46 ± 1.28)×102,the levels of IOD of the three groups were significantly different(P < 0.05).C)Analysis of the relationship between the expression of Nanog and Oct4 and pathological parameters of cervical cancer tissues,the IOD levels were not related with clinical stages and lymphatic metastases.The IOD levels of Nanog and Oct4 were negatively with tumor differentiation(P < 0.05).D)The expression of Oct4 and Nanog in cervical cancer tissues were analyzed by Spearman rank correlation analysis.The results showed that the expression of them in cervical cancer tissues was positively correlated(rs=0.5315,P=0.0026).Conclusions Nanog and Oct4 were over expressed in cervical carcinoma.The expression of Nanog and Oct4 was not related with clinical stages and lymphatic metastases.The expression of Nanog and Oct4 was positively correlated in cervical cancer tissue.
