| Objective:To explore the characteristics of cognitive function impairment of young and middle-aged patients with obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome, and to provide the basis of early detection and intervention.Methods:65 young and middle-aged patients with OSAHS aged under 50 years were selected from Sleep Monitoring Room of the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University, whose Apnea–Hypopnea Index(AHI)were greater than or equal to 5;65 cases of normal physical examination at the same age, gender and education level were selected from the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University as the normal control group.Age,gender, educationl level of the patients were recorded. All selected patients were assessed by Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA)and Clinical Memory Scale. The differences of general condition and the scale scores between the two groups were compared.Results:1.There was no statistical difference between the two groups in age, gender and education level(P>0.05).2.The language function of OSAHS group was inferior than that of control group(P<0.05).but there was no statistical difference between the two groups in Visualspace and executive function, nomenclature, attention, abstract ability, delayed recall, orientation and all scores of MoCA(P>0.05).3.There were no significant difference in directed memory and pictures freely memory(P>0.05),while associational study, meaningless figures recognition, associational memory of portraits’ characteristic, total scale score and Memory Quotient(MQ)were inferior than those in control group(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion:1.The language function and short-term memory are declined in young and middle-aged OSAHS patients.2.Clinical Memory Scale is preferred to assess memory. |
