Case Report Of Aesthetic Restoration Of Anterior Tooth Combined Digital Smile Design

Objective:The purpose of this study was to make preoperative design and postoperative smile analysis with Digital Smile Design to check the consistency of preoperative design and postoperative effect and to evaluate the aesthetic effect of anterior tooth.Methods:3 patients who wanted to restore their anterior tooth were included from December 2015 to March 2017 at Fujian Stomatological Hospital.Preoperative digital photos were taken,followed by using keynote software to make digital smile design.Wax-Up was fabricated according to the design,which determined the shape of final prosthesis.A postoperative smile analysis was performed to check the consistency of preoperative design and postoperative effect when the definitive restoration was cemented.Estimate the aesthetic effect of the restoration and gingival after a three-month follow-up.Results:The effect of postoperative restoration was highly consistent with preoperative design when Digital Smile Design was performed.All the patients were satisfied with the results.Conclusion:Digital smile design can be used to simulate the postoperative effect of the prosthesis and promote the communication between doctors,technicians and patients.In addition,Patients can be involved in the design of prosthesis to reduce medical disputes.Digital smile design is a kind of reliable clinical aided tool.
