Studies On Alkaloids From The Twigs And Leaves Of Hunteria Zeylanica

Hunteria zeylanica,a plant belonging to the Apocynaceae family,is mainly distributed in Guangdong,Hainan,Guangxi and Yunnan provinces of China.The pharmacological studies have shown this plant has anti-inflammatory,antipyretic and analgesic,antimalarial,antihypertensive effects and so on.Previous chemical investigations on plants of genus Hunteria produced a series of new monoterpenoid indole alkaloids with significant activities.As a continuation and expansion of our previous work,this paper systematically investigated the chemical constituents of the 95% ethanol extract of Hunteria zeylanica.19 compounds were separated by multiple chromatogrgaphical techniques,such as silica gel,Sephadex LH-20,ODS,MCI and HPLC.They were identified by spectroscopic methods such as IR,UV,MS,NMR.Their structures were elucidated as huntrabrine methochloride D(HZ-1),huntrabrine methochloride E(HZ-2),rhazimaninal N4-oxide(HZ-3),epi-yohimbol(HZ-4),yohimbol(HZ-5),dihydrocorynanthenol(HZ-6),geissoschizol(HZ-7),huntrabrine methochloride(HZ-8),difforlemenitine(HZ-9),strictosidinic acid(HZ-10),?-carboline(HZ-11),19S-epituboxenine N4-oxide(HZ-12),19R-epituboxenine N4-oxide(HZ-13),rhazicineN4-oxide(HZ-14),4-ethylquinolineG(HZ-15),(+)-syringaresinol-4,4?-O-bis-?-D-glucopy ranoside(HZ-16),syringin(HZ-17),D-1-O-methyl-myoinositol(HZ-18),oblongionoside A(HZ-19).Among them,HZ-1~HZ-3,HZ-12,HZ-13,HZ-15 are new compounds,and compounds HZ-9,HZ-11,HZ-14,HZ-17,HZ-19 are isolated from this plant for the first time.
