Retrospective Study On The Rule Of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) In Treatment Of Primary Myelofibrosis

Objective: Primary myelofibrosis(PMF)is a stem cell-derived clonal malignancy disease,which characterized by the abnormal PBC(peripheral blood cells),bone marrow fibrosis,anemia,splenomegaly and extramedullary hematopoiesis,following constitutional symptoms.As the pathogenesis of PMF is not fully understood yet,allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(allo-HSCT)remains the only curative option available for PMF,which is not widely used because of its limitation.In this paper,through reading and sorting out the literature about the Chinese medicine treatment of PMF,observing the cases in our hospital from 2010 to 2016,we summarized and analysed the application of TCM.What we eager to get is to clarify the rule of TCM used in the treatment of PMF.Methods: We attempt to make a retrospective study of patients,inpatient and outpatient,who had undergone standardized treatment of integrated TCM and western medicine in Henan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from 2010 to2016.By using SPSS19.0 statistical software,we compared the difference of the index between before and after treatment,including PBC,biochemical indexes,the physical grading standard of ECOG,electrocardiogram,clinical symptoms and signs.On the other hand,We use scientific statistical methods,which is severed by Institute of Chinese Materia Medica China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences,to analyse the characteristic and rule of TCM used in PMF.Results:1.By using SPSS19.0 statistical software,we compared the difference of the index between before and after treatment.The results were significantly different(P<0.05),with statistical significance.2.According to the record of TCM,the top 10 herbs is red sage root,angelica sinensis,safflower,orange peel,astragalus,fried atractylodes macrocephala koidz,poria cocos,liquorice,donkey-hide glue,forsythinol.Studying the property and flavor,meridian distribution,the result shows that the use of agents sweet,acid and bitter in flavor is emphasized;warm agents were use widely;the meridian tropism shows in turns of liver,spleen,lung,kidney and heart.3.Chinese patent medicine,frequency in more than 10,mainly covers Shenmai Injection,Safflower Injection,Compound Radix Sophorae Flavescentis Injection;the oral medicine include Biejiajian Pill,Dahuang Zhechong Pill.Conclusion:The general principles of PMF is promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis,also with enriching consumptive and support healthy ennergy.The use of agents sweet and warm can help promote blood circulation and relive spasm and pain.The system of organs,especially in liver and spleen,can achieve the results of promoting Qi flow and soothing liver,and supporting healthy aspects and eliminating pathogens.Based on the basic theory of TCM,holism concept and dialectical therapy,it's necessary to adjust drugs according to the symptom.
