Objective: The aim of the study is to odetect the expression levels of Lin28 B protein and insulin-like growth factor 2(IGF2)protein in papillary thyroid carcinoma(Papillary thyroid carcinoma,PTC),and to analyze their relationship with occurrence and development of papillary thyroid carcinoma;The purpose of our experiment is to investigate whether Lin28 B and IGF2 are related to papillary thyroid carcinoma,so as to providing a new thinking of early diagnosis and treatment of papillary thyroid carcinoma.Methods: The patients with thyroid papillary carcinoma(n = 45)who underwent surgical resection in Hunan People's Hospital from January 2015 to September 2016 in our department were selected as the experimental group.The patients with nodular goiter(43 cases)?thyroid adenoma(n = 20)and normal thyroid tissue(n = 30)were selected as control groups.Immunohistochemical staining was used to detect the expression of Lin28 B and IGF2 in each group.Results: Lin28 B was expressed in nucleus and cytoplasm of the thyroid papillary carcinoma.Through statistical analyzing,we got that the expression level of Lin28 B in papillary thyroid carcinoma was significantly higher than the control groups(P < 0.05).There was a significant correlation between the expression of Lin28 B and unfavorable variables,including nodal metastasis?clinical stage(P <0.05).There was no obvious differences in age?gender and tumor size(P >0.05);IGF2 was expressed in the nucleus,cytoplasm and cell membrane of the thyroid papillary carcinoma.Through statistical analyzing,we got that the expression level of IGF2 in papillary thyroid carcinoma was significantly higher than the control groups(P < 0.05).There was a significant correlation between the expression of IGF2 and unfavorable variables,including nodal metastasis ? clinical stage and tumor size(P <0.05),without the age and gender(P >0.05);The expression of Lin28 B and IGF2 in papillary thyroid carcinoma showed a positive correlation(r=0.698,P=0.000).Conclusion: 1.Lin28 B protein and IGF2 protein expression in PTC tissue is higher than that of nodular goiter,thyroid adenoma and normal thyroid tissue,suggesting that Lin28 B protein and IGF2 protein may play an important role in the occurrence of the papillary thyroid carcinoma.2.The expression of Lin28 B in papillary thyroid carcinoma was related to lymph node metastasis and clinical stage,suggesting that Lin28 B may be related to the progression and metastasis of papillary thyroid carcinoma.3.The expression of IGF2 in papillary thyroid carcinoma was correlated with tumor diameter,lymph node metastasis and clinical stage,suggesting that IGF2 may be related to the progression and metastasis of papillary thyroid carcinoma.4.There was a positive correlation between Lin28 B and IGF2 in the average optical density of papillary thyroid carcinoma,suggesting that Lin28 B and IGF2 may have a synergistic effect in the occurrence of papillary thyroid carcinoma.
