| Objective:To know the growth and nutrition status of children aged 0-6 years old in Zhangjiagang in 2013,and to evaluate the effect of child health care work in our city,and to discuss the key point of the work of the child health care in the future.Methods:The objects of study came from received health examination of children aged 0-6 years old in children health care outpatient medical health institutions throughout the city of Zhangjiagang in 2013.We selected 2871 children that in accordance with the inclusion criteria,we grouped according to age,a total of 11 groups,and selected children with body weight,length measurement,hemoglobin and bone density detection.Results:1.The physical development and growth of Zhangjiagang children accorded with the natural law and in good condition,the children’s weight and height were beyond the national reference standard,more than WHO of the reference standard,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.Children under 6 years old in Zhangjiagang faced the double burden of malnutrition and obesity.The children’s low weight rate reached 1.85%,the rate of growth retardation was 3%,the weight loss rate was 2.37%,the overweight rate was13.65%,and the obesity rate was 5.26%.3.The prevalence rate of anemia in children under 6 years in Zhangjiagang reached 12.26%,1 month~group prevalence rate up to 19.62%,the group of 3~6 years old the lowest prevalence rate of anemia was 2.49%,and the prevalence of anemia among different groups had significant difference(?~2=63.017,P<0.05).The prevalence rate of anemia of under 2 years old children was 17.89%,significantly higher than the prevalence of anemia among children over the age of 2 years old that prevalence of anemia is 5.55%,a statistically significant difference(?~2=48.416,P<0.05).4.The bone mineral deficiency prevalence rate of Children under 6 years old in Zhangjiagang reached 18.4%,1 month~group prevalence rate up to 29.5%,the group of 3~6 years old the lowest prevalence rate was 7.8%,There were significant differences in the prevalence rate of different groups of bone mineral deficiency(?~2=38.827,P<0.05).Conclusions:Children under 6 years old in Zhangjiagang were in good condition and were still faced with the problems of malnutrition,overweight and obesity,anemia,bone mineral deficiency and so on.Therefore,the whole society should pay more attention to children’s physical growth,strengthen health education related knowledge of growth and development of children,and regular monitor of children’s nutritional status,popularization of scientific feeding knowledge of children,and protect the healthy growth of children. |
