Study On The Current Situation And Protective Measures Of Sharp Injury Of Medical Staff Of Tertiary Hospital In Yancheng City

[Objectives]According to retrospective study and analyze the sharp injury data that happened in Tertiary Hospital in Yancheng City from 2013 to 2015,this paper not only describes the current situation and problems of sharp injuries,but also explore the factors affecting the occurrence of sharp injuries of medical staff,propose the corresponding protection and improvement measures,supplement the clinical data of sharp injury in Yancheng district hospital and provide reference basis for improving the occupational safety protection level of medical staff.[Methods]Descriptive analysis and statistical software package SPSS17.0 are used to analyze the relevant data of the sharp injury in this paper.The counting data is expressed as a percentage.?~2is used to test the counting data.It is statistically significant that using P<0.05 for the difference.I will summarize occurrence law and discuss the related risk factors that leading to the sharp injury of medical staff in the hospital.[Results]1.A total of 253 cases of sharp injuries were collected during past three years.Among them,nurses are the main group of sharp injuries which make up 54.15percent.Interns make up 20.16 percent,doctors make up 11.46 percent,workers make up 9.09 percent and medical technicians make up 5.14 percent.2.Sharp injuries happened most frequently in the internal medicine ward which makes up 41.9 percent.Secondly it is in surgical ward which makes up 26.09 percent.Thirdly it is in emergency department which makes up 10.28 percent.However,there are differences among different professional staff.3.The main medical device that causes sharp injury of medical staff is infusion needle,syringe needle and surgical suture needle,which account for 51.78 percent,25.69 percent and 9.09 percent respectively.However,there are differences among different professional staff.4.The main link that causes sharp injury of medical staff is extraction of the intravenous needle,medical waste treatment and surgical suture,which account for39.92 percent,23.32 percent and 9.88 percent respectively.However,there are differences among different professional staff.5.The probability of sharp injury of medical staff of different titles is different.Among doctors,the percentage of sharp injury happened to junior title,senior title and`intermediate title is respectively 55.17 percent,27.59 percent and 17.34 percent.Among nurses,the percentage of sharp injury happened to junior title,intermediate title and senior title is respectively 68.61 percent,28.47 percent and 2.92 percent.Among medical technicians,the percentage of sharp injury happened to junior title and intermediate title is respectively 76.92 percent and 23.08 percent.6.The majority of medical staff take corresponding measures after having sharp injury,which account for 91.7 percent.Among them,wound standard treatment account for 74.31 percent,and nonstandard treatment account for 17.39 percent.8.3 percent of medical staff don't take corresponding measures after having sharp injury.7.The main contaminated pathogen of blood source sharp wound is hepatitis B virus,Hepatitis C virus and syphilis,which account for 61.96 percent,5.43 percent and32.61 percent respectively.[Conclusion and proposal]Sharp injuries mainly happened on nurses,and secondly are interns.Sharp injuries mainly happened in the internal medicine ward,surgical ward and emergency department.The main medical device that causes sharp injury of medical staff is infusion needle,syringe needle and surgical suture needle.The main link that causes sharp injury of medical staff is extraction of the intravenous needle,medical waste treatment and surgical suture.The professional title of doctors who have the sharp injury is the junior title,senior title and intermediate title from high to low.However,the professional title of nurses and medical technicians who have the sharp injury is the junior title,intermediate title and senior title from high to low.The following measures are recommended to prevent sharp injury.The first is to establish the occupational safety and control system and to strengthen occupational safety supervision.The second is to improve the management system of sharp injury and to provide protection system.The third is to enhance vocational protection knowledge training and to improve vocational protection skills.The fourth is to standardize operation behavior and to strictly implement standard preventive.The fifth is to establish health records of medical staff and to create good working conditions.The sixth is to strengthen the management of high-risk groups and to allocate human resources rationally.The seventh is to equip with occupational protective equipment and to promote the use of safety equipment.The eighth is to properly dispose medical waste and to reduce injury occurrence.The ninth is to properly arrange post-treatment and to effectively prevent intervention.
