The Chengjiang school of acupuncture and moxibustion headed by Cheng Dan’an has greatly promoted the development and popularization of acupuncture and moxibustion in modern and contemporary times.So far some scholars have paid attention to the influence of the Chengjiang school on the development of acupuncture and moxibustion in different regions.Although there are many Chengjiang school’s inheritors in Fujian,systematic investigation has not been conducted.This paper aims to study the inheritance,development and influence of Chengjiang school in Fujian province.The study explores the specific academic impact of the Chengjiang school on the development of acupuncture and moxibustion in Fujian since the modern period by means of excavating the inherited deeds of the Chengjiang school,invesgating the academic origins,inherited threads,distributive characteristics,and inheritors’academic and life stories,studying the current situation and development of Chengjiang school in Fujian province.It is hoped that this research can provide some references for investigating the dissemination and development of Chengjiang school in other regions.Through the study,it was found that the Chengjiang acupuncture and moxibustion school has a large number of descendants in Fujian.The academic groups headed by Liu Zhangjie,Chen Yinglong,and Huang Zongxu have great influences in Quanzhou,Xiamen,and Fuzhou.The groups have developed and extended academic essence by inheriting the academic system of Chengjiang school and combing with the local conditions and personal experience.They have not only promoted the development of modern acupuncture and moxibustion in Fujian,but also contributed to the spread of acupuncture and moxibustion in overseas regions such as Southeast Asia.There are six parts in this dissertation.The first part is the introduction.The second part introduces the geographic and historical background of Fujian.The third part introduces the formation and influence of the Chengjiang school of acupuncture and moxibustion and the development of acupuncture and moxibustion during the modern times.The fourth part introduces the Inheritance overview,the life and academics of representatives,and inheritance and development in Fujian.The fifth part analyzes the influence.The last part summarizes the research results and states deficiencies.
