ObjectiveThe purpose of this study was to explore the effects of continuous nursing on the quality of life and mental state in elderly patients with COPD.And to confirm the necessity of continuity nursing in elderly COPD patients, after which to provide some theoretical basis and research methods for improving quality of life and mental state of COPD patients.MethodThis study is an experimental study.A simple random sampling method was used to select 76 elderly COPD patients admitted from February 2017 to June 2017 in a top hospital in Jinzhou City. The samples are divided into control group(38 cases)and experimental group(38 cases)randomly. At the end of the study, the number of qualified cases was actually 33 for the control group(3 non-compliant,1 lost contact,1 died),and 33 for the experimental group(3 non-compliant,2 lost contact).Routine care was given to the control group.Otherwise, besides routine care, continuous care was given to the experimental group. Both groups were given 6 months of follow-up after discharge.General information and clinical data of the study subjects were collected by the control group members and the experimental group members, and the collected data were checked and inputted.SPSS 19.0 statistical analysis software was used to process all the data, including descriptive analysis,t-test and ?2 test.Results1.Before the intervention, there was no significant difference in pulmonary function indicators between the two groups(P>0.05);After intervention, the indexes of FEV1,FEV1/FVC,and PEF in both groups of subjects were significantly improved. The improvement in subjects in the experimental group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05).2.Before the intervention, there was no significant difference in the Pa O2 and Pa CO2 levels between the two groups(P>0.05);After the intervention,Pa O2 and Pa CO2 levels in both groups were significantly improved compared with those before nursing care was given.Though, the degree of improvement in the experimental group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05).3.Before the intervention, there was no obvious difference in the content of immune function indicators between the two groups(P>0.05);After the intervention, the levels of CD4+ and CD8+ in the experimental group was significantly higher than those before the intervention and those of the control group(P<0.05).4.Before the intervention, there was no obvious difference in HAMA and HAMD scores between the two groups(P>0.05);After the intervention, the above scores dropped in both groups to varying degrees. The HAMA and HAMD scores of the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).5.Before the intervention, there was no apparent difference in GQOL-74 scores between the two groups(P>0.05).After the intervention, the GQOL-74 score of the two groups were significantly improved before the intervention. The improvement of subjects in the experimental group was significantly better than that in the control group.(P<0.05).6.Before the intervention, there was no apparent difference in the HPLP II scores between the two groups(P>0.05);After the intervention, the scores of each dimension of the two groups were significantly improved before the intervention. In the experimental group, the score was significantly higher than before and the control group after intervention(P<0.05).7.Before the intervention, there was no significant difference in the scores of the CAT scale between the two groups; After the intervention, the above indicators of both groups were significantly lower than before the intervention(P<0.05).The post-intervention CAT scale score of the experimental group was significantly lower than the control group(P <0.05).Conclusions1.The implementation of continuous nursing can improve the pulmonary function, blood oxygen saturation and immune function of the elderly patients with COPD.2.Continuous nursing can improve the quality of life of senile COPD patients and quicken the process of patients ' rehabilitation.3.The practice of continuous nursing can reduce the bad mood and reduce the psychological burden of the elderly patients with COPD.
