Objective:To investigate the relationship between fibroblast growth factor 3(FGF3)gene polymorphism and NSCL/P in Xinjiang Uyghur population.Methods:115 Uyghur NSCL/P patients and 150 controls were collected from Uyghur unpatients with upper respiratory tract infection,a total of 78 tri-family,84 cases of patient's father and 90 cases of patient's mother,Polymerase chain reaction restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP)was used to study genotypes of the FGF3 gene. Results:The rs4980700 locus of FGF3 gene, genotype and allele frequencies of CL/P group were compared with the control group, there was significant statistical difference(P<0.05),but genotype and allele frequencies of the group CPO were compared with the control group, there were no statistical differences(P>0.05);rs4631909 locus of FGF3 gene, genotype and allele the gene frequency of CL/P group were compared with the control group, there was significant statistical difference(P<0.05),but there were no significant differences in the CPO group(P>0.05).FBAT analysis showed that the A alleles of rs4980700 and the T alleles of rs4631909 produced excessive transmission from parents to child. Conclusion: The rs4980700 and rs4631909 polymorphism of FGF3 gene may be related to NSCL/P in Xinjiang Uygur population.
