Objective:To investigate the current status of nutrient intakes of adults with metabolic syndrome(MS)in Changji area and the effect of different dietary patterns on metabolic indexes in patients with metabolic syndrome.Assessment of the improvement of metabolic indicators in patients with metabolic syndrome by assessing the three dietary patterns. To provide theoretical basis for health guidance of patients with metabolic syndrome.Methods:(1)467 cases of metabolic syndrome patients in Chingji were selected in the study.Physical examinations and dietary investigation were measured in study population, then analyze and evaluate the data;(2)125 patients were divided into groups and treated with different dietary patterns according to a pre-designed diet.Intervention should be accompanied by appropriate health education and exercise guidance. At the end of the intervention, all the subjects were subjected to physical examination, biochemical examination and dietary survey. The data were collected and analyzed statistically.Results:(1)Compared with DRIs in 2013,the energy and nutrient intake in the daily diet of the study population:The energies from protein and fat were14.7%and 38.6%,which was higher than those of the recommended ratios, while carbohydrates was below the recommended ratio(46.7%).Among the study population, intakes of fat and salt were 39.6g/d,11.9g/d,which was more than the Chinese Food Guide Pagoda.(2)The male intakes of calcium, potassium, iodine were 649.2mg、1254.7mg、13.6?g,lower than DRIs;the female intakes of calcium,potassium,iodine,VB2were 580.1mg、1276.3 mg、14.1?g、0.9mg,lower than DRIs.The source of protein, calcium and iron main came from plant based food, the proportion of plant food was61.5%、71.5%、73.8%、75.3%.(3)After 5 months of intervention, the body weight, waist circumference, hip circumference, body mass index, blood pressure, blood glucose and blood lipid levels were all decreased in the three groups. The difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)After intervention, there was no statistical difference in the changes of physical examination, blood pressure, blood glucose and blood lipid in the three groups after intervention.(P>0.05).Conclusion:(1)The dietary structure of the sampled adults with MS was unreasonable. The intake of vegetable and fruit are low.(2)the intake of oil and salt are high. The intake of calcium, potassium, iodine are inadequate.(3)All of the three dietary pattern of dietary guidelines for residents, low fat diet pattern, low carbohydrate diet pattern can improve blood-sugar level and blood lipid level. But this study can not prove which dietary pattern can improve metabolic index more effectively in patients with metabolic syndrome. There are further studies to be done in the future.(4)We should be through a variety of ways to carry out nutrition education,so that the dietary structure is more reasonable, such as education residents to eat more vegetables and fruits, reduce the intake of oil, salt,to ensure nutritional balance.
