Objective:To study the mutation of epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)gene in different samples of lung cancer patients and to explore the clinical features associated with epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)gene mutation in lung cancer patients. Methods:In this series,184 patients with lung cancer at the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from July 2015 to May 2017 were included.Analysis of 184 cases of different samples of EGFR detection, and collected 184 patients with clinical information. Results:Among them,74(40.2%)patients had mutant EGFR.The mutation rates of EGFR gene were 54.2%,49.2%,41.7%,33.3%,20.1%,0,respectively in surgical specimens, pleural effusion, pulmonary puncture tissue, bronchial biopsy tissues, blood and lymph node biopsy samples. It happened more frequently in females(59.4% VS 28.7%),age less than 60 years old(49.3% VS 34.2%),non-smoker(59.6% VS 17.6%),and adenocarcinoma(48.2%VS 17%)patients than in males, age more than 60 years old, smoker and non-adenocarcinoma counterparts(all P<0.05).The rate(49.1)of EGFR mutation in patients with stage IV lung cancer was higher than that in stage I,II and III.(33.3%,24% and 24.3%,respectively).In patients with EGFR mutations,CEA levels were significantly elevated.Patients with bone metastases have a higher rate of EGFR mutation than non-bone metastatic patients. The positive rate of EGFR mutation in O-type patients was higher than other blood types. Conclusions:EGFR mutations are more common in patients with lung adenocarcinoma, women, younger than 60,and non-smokers.The rate of EGFR mutation was higher in patients with stage IV lung cancer.Compared with other organizations, surgical tissue and pleural effusion had higher EGFR mutation detection rates.CEA>5ng/ml、and bone metastases may be predictors of positive EGFR mutations. The mutation rate of EGFR in patients with type O blood cancer is higher than other blood types.
