Objective:To explore the significance of free electromyography combined with electromyography in the monitoring of acoustic neuroma surgery.Method:The clinical data of 18 patients with acoustic neuromas treated at the Department of Neurosurgery Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical College from August2016 to October 2017 were analyzed.Intraoperative free EMG and triggered EMG were used to guide the operation. All patients underwent unilateral acoustic neuromaectomy under a microscope.According to the latest House Brackmann facial paralysis grading criteria(H-B grading),the facial nerve function was statistically evaluated 3 days before operation, two weeks and six months after operation, and the relevant indicators and their changes were evaluated. Results:In this group of 18 patients, total tumor resection was 16 cases(88.9%),subtotal resection was two cases(11.1%),facial nerves were preserved in 17 cases(94.4%),and one case(5.6%)was not preserved by anatomy. This group had no cerebellum Bruises ?disability?deaths?intracranial infections.Subcutaneous fluid complications were followed up to six months postoperatively: H-B grade ?-?in 11 patients,?-? in 6 patients, and? in one patient. Conclusions:Electrophysiological monitoring during acoustic neuroma surgery can obtain good facial nerve anatomy and preservation, thus providing basic protection for functional reserve.
