Purpose Explore the effect of carbon nanoparticles suspension injection in the operation of papillary thyroid carcinoma on central compartment lymph node dissection,parathyroid glands,recurrent laryngeal nerve and upper throat nerve injury.Methods We use the method of retrospective analysis to collect 57 cases of papillary thyroid carcinoma in the Department of breast and thyroid surgery of Affiliated Hospital of Qing Hai University from 2015.11-2017.11.The patients were divided into the experimental group and the control group.There were 27 cases to use carbon nanoparticles suspension injection for lymph node tracing in the operation(experimental group),Another 30 cases had not used carbon nanoparticles suspension injection(control group).The operations of two groups patients were completed by the doctors of the same operation group.Compared experimental group with the control group in the levels of the serum calcium and PTH of surgery and postoperative day,and the number of lymph node dissection,lymph node metastasis,inadvertent resection of parathyroid,husky voice and cough of drinking.Results There were no statistical difference between the two groups in the age,gender,tumor diameter,Ca and PTH before surgery(P> 0.05).One day after surgery,the Ca levels(P >0.05)had no significant difference but the PTH(P<0.05)levels had significant difference between the two groups.The number of lymph nodes dissection in experimental group was(6.11±4.32)pieces per case,while the control group was(3.33±2.62)pieces per case.That was considered statistically significant(P<0.05).The number of lymph node metastasis in two groups were(1.59±2.04)and(1.13±1.25).The difference was not statistically significant(P> 0.05).There were no statistical difference between the two groups in the husky voice and cough of drinking.It was statistical difference between the two groups in the resection of parathyroid(P<0.05).Conclusions The use of carbon nanoparticles suspension injection in the operation of papillary thyroid carcinoma has a protective effect on parathyroid glands.Meanwhile,the use of carbon nanoparticles suspension injection in the operation of papillary thyroid carcinoma can increase the number of the central lymph node dissection.But it can not reduce recurrent laryngeal nerve injury and upper throat nerve injury.It has certain guiding significance for the operation of papillary thyroid carcinoma.
