| Objective: A retrospective analysis on the clinicopathological characteristics of primary angle-closure glaucoma(PACG)was made based on the clinical data collected from PAGG inpatients in Xining area. Methods: Medical records of PAGG inpatients from Level A Tertiary Hospitals including Xining No.1 People’s Hospital,Qinghai Provincial People’s Hospital,Qinghai University Affiliated Hospital, and Qinghai Hospital of T.C.M from December,2010 to December,2016 were collected and analyzed for retrospective study. The general condition, intraocular pressure, chamber angle and cup/disk(C/D)of PAGG inpatients were sorted and comprehensively analyzed. Results: 192 PAGG inpatients with 299 eyes were collected.144 cases in this study accounted for 75.00% were Han and 48 cases accounted for 25.00% were minorities. There was a significant difference between males and females of Han and the minorities. The ages of all recruited patients were over 40 years.PAGG patients had an average age of 62.70±10.67 years and 166 of them had ages ≥ 50 years which accounted for 86.46%.There was no statistically significant difference between relevance ratio of patients with acute primary angle-closure glaucoma(APACG)and chronic primary angle closure-glaucoma(CPACG)in different ages.APACG patients were 143 cases and CPACG patients were 49 cases, the ratio of which was 2.92:1.The male to female ratios were 1:2.21 and 1.04:1 in APACG and CPACG patients, respectively. There was a significant difference in relevance ratio between different genders of APACG and CPACG.Among APACG patients,69 of them were binocular and 74 were monocular.Among CPACG patients,38 of them had binocular glaucoma and 11 had monocular glaucoma. For these two types of PACG,there was a statistical significance in the difference of binocular and monocular relevance ratio.During the clinical stages of APACG,the onset stage is the most commom type.A significant difference in intraocular pressure was seen between different clinical stages of APACG.There was a statistical significance in the difference of C/D conditions between different clinical stages of APACG.A correlation test was performed between anterior chamber angle and anterior chamber depth. Our study found that there was a middle-level positive correlation between them(rs=0.576,p<0.001).Another correlation test was analyzed between intraocular pressure and anterior chamber angle, the result revealed that there was a middle-level positive correlation between them(rs=0.500,p<0.001).Conclusion: The occurrence of PACG closely associates with the ethnic groups, ages and genders.APACG occupies a great amount in PACG inpatients. The anatomical structure and pathological features of the eye should be focused in PACG monitoring. |
