The "East Turkistan" is the most major terrorist threat China facing, The terrorist organization attempts to use violent means to achieve the political machination of splittingChinaandestablishingtheso-called "East Turkistan"in Xinjiang.Therefore, the "East Turkistan" has launched a series of terrorist incidents since the late 1990s in and outside China,which caused heavy casualties and property losses and a serious damage to the geopolitical space of China.Especially since the "7 · 5" event happened in Urumqi, there is a rising trend both in frequency and intensity of the terrorist activities carried out by "East Turkistan". Therefore, to research and analysis the relationship between the "East Turkistan" terrorism and China’s geopolitical space and then proposing different geopolitical strategic options on the basis of that has the extremely important practical significance for China to maintain the stability of China’s geopolitical space and create a good surrounding situation for China’s economic and social development.Integrated the already academic researh on the "East Turkistan" terrorism can be found, Currently involved in "East Turkistan" and the national security of China is already relatively mature, But the research on influence of China’s geopolitical space from "East Turkistan" terrorism is still relatively scarce. In the past, discussing the physical damage in Xinjiang area caused by "East Turkistan" from microcosmic perspective is common. But the research on macroscopic damage from the China’s geopolitical space pespective on the basis of geopolitic is rare.This thesis is rooted in geopolitics, then research the effect of China’s geopolitical space from "East Turkistan" terrorism and the feasible geopolitical strategic choices China can make. At first, point out the basic research background, significance, targets and contents, then summarize the related academic research in and outside China. Next give the method and elaborate the innovation point of this article. And then elaborate the development of theory of geopolitics,including "Land power theory ","Sea power theory"," The edge district theory"and" The air power theory", and on this basis, analysis the geopolitical space situation of Xinjiang. Next present the history problem of "East Turkistan", discuss the characteristics of the "East Turkistan" terrorism’s activities and the destrction on China’s geopolitical space. Finally, discuss geopolitical stategic options from two aspects of domestic and foreign in order to crack down on "East Turkistan" terrorism.
