The Study On Wang Daokun And His Plays

In the Ming Dynasty, Wang Daokun is a famous dramatist and the famous general of fighting against the Japanese pirates, he is one of the leaders at the later stage of “Hou Qi Zi”. He wrote Dayatang Yuefu, the collection of poetry Book of Tai Han, Cai Geda Drama, Water Margin's Introduction and so on. Some evaluation and discussion about Wang Daokun have been made from the Ming and Qing Dynasties to the present, but there is still something for further research.Based on the previous studies, this paper takes Wang Daokun and his plays as the research objects. I mainly adopt the method of combination of macro and micro, this paper is studied from the following aspects. The introduction takes the time as the clue, the research situation of Wang Daokun and his works are reviewed in this paper. The main body of this paper includes four parts. In the first part, it introduces the life and creation of Wang Daokun concretely and objectively according to the history. The second part analyzes the important contacts closely with Wang Daokun. The third part focuses on the analysis of Wang Daokun's Dayatang Yuefu and expounds the ideological content, artistic achievement, Dayatang Yuefu's evaluation, performance and the effect in detail. In the fourth part, it mainly talks about the other drama of Wang Daokun.The research about Wang Daokun and his masterpiece Dayatang Yuefu is the key point of this paper. Combined with the creation background of the Ming Dynasty, Wang Daokun's life experience, his personality characteristics and the contents of Dayatang Yuefu, the theme is to criticize the reality and pay close attention to the fate of the intellectuals, but not to express their leisure and enjoyment. The art system, the style of his plays and the witty charm also influenced later plays.This paper will be based on the detailed reading of the original. Combined with the historical background, Wang Daokun's life and his friendship, his poems and relevant information, I want an in-depth and meticulous research on Wang Daokun and his plays by holding the attitude of acquaintance and sympathy. The purpose is to further clarify the status and influence of Wang Daokun in the history of Chinese traditional drama. It also has the important significance for people to understand the social situation in the middle and late Ming Dynasty, the mentality of literati, aesthetic pursuit and so on.
