"Strange Tales of Liaozhai" is the " unprecedented work" of Chinese classical short novel,many of these stories has been adopted into a variety of art forms which are widespread.With the development of film and television media,"Ghost Story",its unique fantasy stories have been repeatedly adopted into movies,TV works that hit the screen.the story is known for the Fox ?ghost?flower? demon,to achieve the successful adaptation of the story,an accurate grasp of their characters in the book is critical?Especially the adaptation works are almost all in the subject of love,which determines the importance of Portrayal of Women in "Ghost Story" film adaptation process.Therefor,I try to through my own efforts to study the Female image in "Ghost Story" film and television drama by using the comparative analysis,analyzing the characteristic of women's change and image-building,and I look forward to making a contribution to "Ghost Story" TV drama.Based on the expression of the essence of the original,"Ghost Story" combined with characteristics of the times achieves a substantial development.The first Ghost Story movie "xiaofugeng" was released in1922.Until today,the twenty-first century,there are various kinds of "Ghost Story" movies and television programs,including 90 movies and 40 TV programs.They have created many female images inthese films and television programs,and all of them can generally divide into two kinds: The first kind is heterogeneous woman image,including the image of the female ghost ? banshee.Female ghost image is divided into good,evil image.Banshee image is divided into female fox,flower demon.The second kind is ordinary female,including the image of the chivalrous lady,small jasper women,ladylike women.Due to the impact's shooting,the director,screenwriter,actor and audience demand,we can find that the image is different from the original image.For example: ghost character change from the evil to good;banshee image weakened the original color of gratitude and they exhibit more persistent pursuit for love;and the ordinary female character becomes more bolder and initiative,focusing on shaping their manifested new character in love such as courage,perseverance,infatuation.In these numerous "Ghost Story" film and television programs,there are both excellent works and some shoddy goods.For the excellent works,I analyze the reasons mainly from these three aspects : First,the character of the original basic role itself,mainly including three aspects---the moral theme,the detailed description of the characters and plot twists.Second,the decisive role of director,screenwriter and actor,mainly analyzing the rewrite of the theme,the twists and turns of the plot and characters building.Third,music,choreography and special effects of auxiliary.For shoddy goods,I analyzes the existing problems,combining with the specific role of women cited character weakened,lack of attractive female protagonist,female emotional expression.It is worth to think and resolve these problems.As a classic literary masterpiece," Strange Tales of Liaozhai " contains rich ideological and cultural connotation,and it spreads the social communication of the truth,goodness and beauty of positive energy.With the era of modern media evolving,we should dig the deep background of " Strange Tales of Liaozhai ",in order to create more and better film and television works on "Ghost Story"...
