On The Reflection And Application Of Chinese Creation Thoughts In The Design

Since the late Qing Dynasty,Western culture has marched concussion,and the collision between Chinese culture and Western culture has become the trend of the times.Since the1980 s,people lose themselves in the economic tide,as the result,the traditional culture has been left behind once more.Modern China design comprehensively refers to the design system of the West,from design teaching to design units.Consequently,"encouraging" results are achieved and play a role in boosting the economic development.At the same time,the pollution,smog,cancer,SARS come after one another,bringing people endless pain.People start to realize that cultural prosperity and good life may vanish at any time,although modern design brings us the convenience.Chinese civilization is a sort of collective connotation of excellent traditional culture.Facing the Lack of traditional Culture,the sequel of Western design culture,inheriting and carrying forward the traditional culture is imperative.After access to bibliographical information,I find theTraditional Culture has a long history.The Confucianism thought of "harmony between the heaven and human " and Taoist philosophy of "Imitation of Nature" are the ultimate pursuit of traditional creation culture,and from which derive a number of specific design ideas.Generally,these ideals are about "heaven","earth","man".Traditional thinking believes that man is part of nature,all human activities must comply with the natural law of development,in this way,man can achieve the perfect fusion between man and nature.These concepts could solve the damage to nature caused by the modern design approach.To learn from nature and tradition,we can use the essence of the traditional creation to resolve the social problems caused by the prevailing design.Modern Chinese design deviates from the tradition,shakes off the national character,finally losses direction and motivation.This paper mainly concern these aspects,the creation of traditional culture,traditional culture and national character,the large culture,as well as thoughts in the traditional creation culture and modern design,and other related issues.I hope such a study could discover the law of Traditional Culture and lays solid modern foundation for the research how to utilize and heritage this culture.This paper focuses on application and heritage of traditional creation culture.Its essence of application and heritage is to avoid its shortages and heritage its advantages.The excellent traditional creation thought is used to build up modern design system with Chinese national characteristics,looking forChinese roots for Modern design and injecting the nation's character to it,finally strengthening its relationship with traditional culture.Heritage focuses on the ideological framework,and this paper divides heritage into selective inheritance and innovative heritage.Selective inheritance absorbs most of the fine traditional culture directly,including material and spiritual inheritance.Innovative heritage focuses on pioneering spirit,carrying forward the tradition,being the driving force of cultural continuity and the life of design development.This paper presents converting innovation,critical innovation,compound innovation.Application is the best form of succession.Traditional Culture is extensively applied into Modern design.Due to the major,time and ability of the writer,he only choose to address the application of traditional creation idea in modern graphic Design field,such as the form and artistic conception--the application of painting in poster,skills and implication--Ceramics in wine packaging design,innovative element synthesis--applications in logo design.This paper ends by the way of illustration.This article emphasizes cultural elements behind the form,ideological creation behind form,modernity of traditional elements and integration of Chinese and Western cultures.For Modern design,the heritage and application to the creation of traditional culture of is not based on methodology and empiricism,but on modern Chinese design spirit and the responsibility to carry forward the creation of traditional culture.At this point,gradually building a modern design culture systemwith Chinese characteristics will lead the Chinese nation to find new lifestyle.
