Marginalized groups have a high frequency of occurrence in Victorian Novels.Either appears as the main characters or the sub ones,the relationship between marginalized groups and power centers would be reflected in the novel.Among these,there are the poor little people at the bottom of society,the minorities and immigrants who were marginalized because of racial reasons,and the women subject to patriarchal.These people were charged by central groups in different ways in society.For novel is the aesthetic manifested reflection to the real world,the marginalized groups in the novels can naturally cast their situation in the real world.In Victorian novels,marginalized groups have a lot of referential significance.They are often given special content and purpose,alluded the social issues,exposed the features of marginalized groups in society under repression core discourse,showed the living conditions of marginalized groups,criticized related issues,made the reflection,even raised their own solutions.This article aims to apply the theory of narration to make interpretation of Victorian novels,in order to show the living conditions of marginalized groups in this complex period,then expanded and drawn the social critical perspective and humanitarian ideas hidden behind the text.The first chapter will simply analyze the social background of Victorian,and list the type of marginalized groups which often appear in this period,and make brief introduction and description.The second chapter will use the narrative theory to make a deeply interpretation to marginalized groups in novels,and then explain the effects of each narrative elements for discourse narration.The third chapter will be based on the social significance of marginalized groups in novels,and pointed out authors' goal achieved by describing marginalized groups.
