With thousands of years Chinese calligraphy history developed,the study of cursive script has the important value of theory and value of practice.The thesis bases on “Masterpiece of Calligraphy”that a book by calligraphist Sun Guoting who are came from Tang Dynasty.This thesis zooms in on Sun's calligraphy theories in Masterpiece of Calligraphy and the profound influence it had on today's double value of practice.this thesis is composed with four chapters that are structured as follow. First section mainly describes Sun Guoting, the spread of Masterpiece of Calligraphy version of ink.And cultural background of Masterpiece of Calligraphy in that time.The second chapter mainly elaborates the content and significance of Masterpiece of Calligraphy. Which from the view of the history of calligraphy,calligraphy education, human aesthetics and other aspects of a comprehensive study,a variety of perspectives to explain the various difficult problems.The third chapter are the central idea of this thesis.The third chapter mainly discusses the practical value of Masterpiece of Calligraphy. According to Masterpiece of Calligraphy in practice as the research object, to analysis techniques and methods of copying the experience, through many experiments, the ancient people's great calligraphy practice was summarized.In the fourth chapter, a variety of content for the entrance, discusses the Masterpiece of Calligraphy of the contemporary creation process and the important influence to the posterity.This article tries to seek with a multi-dimensional visual and novel viewpoint, to share different theoretical and practical value, not only to provide a reference for the Masterpiece of Calligraphy learner.
