With the development and innovation of computer technology and Internet means across the globe, Internet has become a close link of communication and a carrier of promoting economy and trade exchange in different countries. However, translation is a medium of improving mutual communication and exchange among countries, which has play a vital role in cross-cultural communication. But information and network security problems, such as cyber attack, cyber risk and information leak, have brought new challenges and threats continuously and increasingly, which not only influence the development of state, society and organizations, but endanger personal privacy. Meanwhile, it has been pushed into a new upsurge caused by Snowden's disclosure of PRISM, and become hot topic that attracts global attention. Therefore, this translation report can provide effective guidance and reference to IT staffs or Internet users.In March 2013, Information Security Forum(ISF) had addressed Threat Horizon 2015: More danger from known threats. It mainly introduce cyber risk, cyber attack, cyber criminal, hackers' effect, potential threats and challenge of present computer technology. Furthermore, this translation report aims to warn that there are more danger hidden in present cyber threats which should be highly valued.This translation report is based on translating the two chapter of Threat Horizon 2015: More danger from known threats. Throughout the entire translation process, Christiane Nord's text analysis theory and Peter Newmark's text type theory are applied to guide the translation practice. It turns out that the source text has informative function after the thorough analysis. During the process of translating, it firstly analyzes difficulties in translation combined with the translation features of EST and report, then come up with translation issues. In accordance with relevant translation skills, literal and free translation strategies are mainly used for case study to solve translation issues which thereby guarantee the accuracy and acceptability of translated version.Eventually, this translation project improves the author's translation ability and professional quality that is the bedrock of being a qualified translator. Furthermore, to summarize translation experience of information and network security texts is of great theoretical and practical significance.
