Study On The Huren Uleger Broadcast On Radio

Since the 1950s, Chinese government has taken various measures to promote the development of Huren Uleger, a traditional Mongolian form of art, both in order to inherit and carry forward this valuable culture, and to exert its function in political propaganda. Radio broadcast is one of those key means, which has contributed greatly to the enriching of audience's spiritual life, the personal development of folk artisans who tell Huren Uleger, and the popularization of this artistic form.The paper consists of four parts:Introduction, Main Body, Conclusion and Appendix. Introduction introduces research background, research significance, study trend, source of materials and data, and study approaches. Main Body is composed of three chapters.The First Chapter mainly gives the overview of the origin and gradual development of radio broadcasting of Huren Uleger. The author believes radio broadcasting of Huren Uleger started in the early 1950s and its development process is divided into four phases:primary stage, sabotaged stage, renascent stage and declined stage.The Second Chapter narrates on the emergence of radio text, a new type of expanded text of Huren Uleger, and elaborates on its advantages and shortcomings.The Third Chapter studies the functions and effects of Huren Uleger broadcast on radio on Huren Uleger artisans and audiences as well as on the popularization and development of Huren Uleger itself. The Conclusion summarizes the main ideas of the paper. Additionally, apart from the list of references, the catalog of Huren Uleger that broadcast by Inner Mongolia Broadcasting Station is attached in a table form together with pictures and interview materials taken during the survey.
