| Designed and chiefly composed by Song and Dance Troupe from Henan, symphony chorus “Chaoyanggou” is the first time to combine chorus symphony and Henan traditional operas. To ensure the effect of performance and the entire artistic effect, the crew has invited artists such as renowned songwriter and play writer Liu Lin, head of China Symphony Orchestra Guan Xia, conductor Jin Wei, young composer Li Wenping to integrate and compose the classic arias of original Henan opera “Chaoyanggou”. The latter one is divided into Yinhuan Going Up to the Hill, Happy Songs While Laboring, Integrated Mountains and Waters and Harvest Time. The script and symphony of this piece of work which encapsulates chorus, ensemble, antiphonal singing between man and woman, spoken parts and symphony orchestra was recomposed based on modern Henan opera “Chaoyanggou”. In such a way not only the genre of modern Henan opera has been kept, but also has enriched the symphony orchestra, presenting a form of performance which blends both oriental and occidental, elegant and vulgar elements.This article which analyzes the techniques of composing and makes systematic and logical generalization and summarization taking symphony chorus “Chaoyanggou” as the researching object, will be categorized into four chapters:Chapter 1 Composing overview of symphony chorus “Chaoyanggou” from two points – the composing background of symphony chorus “Chaoyanggou” and the overall art design.Chapter 2 dissects the musical structure of symphony chorus “Chaoyanggou” from the symphonization of the opera structure and chorus composing of the arias.Chapter 3 analyzes in great length the composing techniques used by symphony chorus “Chaoyanggou”, including the shaping of musical image, theme penetration, harmony, polyphony and echoing of “singing” and “performing”, etc.Chapter 4 generalizes the artistic characteristics of symphony chorus “Chaoyanggou”, and presents the author's views on the existing disagreements of symphony chorus “Chaoyanggou”. |
