Research On The Understratum Narration Of Xu Yigua’s Fictions

In the all of Xu Yigua’s novels,which of the understratum narration hold a large of proportion.As a reporter of Political science and Law,she often needs to contact with the bottom people of the society.With a lot of rich and the real social life experience,the understratum narration of her novels has a sincere feeling,which the other writers may not have.Xu Yigua’s works not only present the bitterness and depression of the bottom world,but also try to analyze the causes of this situation as well as the varies forms of the bottom’s struggle.The first part of this paper has classified the bottom characters of Xu Yigua’s novels.The characters which can be roughly divided into such four categories: the lonely and hopelessly old man and women,the mad and repressed women,the migrant workers,and the criminals by soul struggling.The second part tries to reveal the various power relations which are hard to be found in our daily life,and how could they produce the bottom.Here,some of the reasons that everybody knows are deliberately omitted for brevity,and the discussion will focus on the invisible power relations.This paper expounds mainly in the following four aspects: the female identity and male-dominated,t he local folk custom and discipline,the physical disability and stigma,the life habits and distinction.The third part tries to show various fighting stance from the bottom of the society and their spirit of redemption of facing death and living.In the Xu Yigua’s novels,most of them are hardly struggling in the society after their dreams have been broken.By the discipline of visible and invisible power,they toughly live in the world.However,Xu Yigua did not just show their misery,but to call the return of the human nature with love and strength.I think,that is the real value of her.
