Antoine-Saint Exupery was a great writer that held a high status in th e French literary history during the 20 th century. His most famous work,Little Prince, was popular with the readers all over the world. As a pilot,he created many works of literature in the background of his own flight e xperience. His works, which are full of thinking of human beings themsel ves,shares the same views of The Courage to Be of existentialism.The first part of the paper straightens the sequence of thoughts of exi stentialism and the anxiety also courage in them up. It analyzes characters' courage under the anxiety of fate,death,inanity and insignificance in Sain t's works. The second part explains the courage of those who are living in the untold pain and loneliness when they are facing the conflicts between world value and self-spirit in the flurried war time and disordered world order. The third part analyzes the conflicts between the self-existence and ration, and the courage of undertaking desperation and faith during the pr ocess of one seek for himself and his faith. Part four not only combs the r elationship between the existence and surpassing, the limitedness of self-e xistence and unlimitedness, but it also excavates the attempt which the w orks uses love to settle the self mental predicament. At last, the author ma kes a conclusion and reflection of overview of the article.Saint's life was a life full of fighting. He was brimming with the cou rage of fighting with the whole world and moving towards himself bravel y, which was the same with the characters of his works. The author hopes that this paper can give the readers a brand new visual angle of comprehe nding Antoine-Saint Exupery and his works deeply.
