Life is given to man only once. Everyone has to experience the process from birth to death. This is the everlasting natural law of life.Human life fades away like water and can't repeat and regenerate, so life is precious. This requests us to cherish life, understand the meaning of life, and live for the value of life. All material comforts and wealth of people being alive will lose after death. We can only hope the mental care can get rid of this troublesome life and the spiritual experience beyond death can overcome the threats of death eventually. This thesis studies outlook on life, values, and death view of Confucianism and also describes view of death of Taoism and Buddhism a little, the purpose of which is to make macroscopic comparison among Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. And the purpose of this paper is to explore the modern values of Confucianism's Life and Death View, hope to bring a dose of medicine to modern people faced with life and death, and to seek the path of a relief for people. We should inherit Confucian thought of “Inner Sage and Outer King" and their unyielding spirit especially. In addition,we should strengthen self-cultivation and positivity to realize one's own life value and help others to realize their value and achieve the ideal life realm.
