| In 2015 whether the ratings, click rates or amount of the topic, web series are all the highest and form a hit. What makes web series make advantage over many other types of TV series is the focus of this paper.Network novel is a literary works by the author directly and take the network as the first platform of the media. Web series is a TV series based on network novel and is based on the transplant.Firstly, summarize the stage of development and the hit status of web series briefly and have a general comprehension to its hit background. Secondly, taking three hit web series-"You Are My Sunshine", "The Journey of Flower" and "Nirvana in Fire" as examples, analyze their causes on the basis of "Use and Gratification", "Coding and Decoding" and "agenda setting" which are closely related to the causes of popular phenomenon of web series. Thirdly, together theoretical analysis and practical cases summarize common and general causes of the popular phenomenon of web series from Internal and external factors. Finally, put forward corresponding solutions according to the hit web series' problems. |
