The Chinese Communist Party And Labor Movement In Jingdezhen During The Great Revolutionary Period

The paper takes it as research object that the Communist Party of China(the CPC)led the Labor Movement in Jingdezhen Town around the Great Revolution, and analyzes the historical background and social background of the movement, investigates the mode of mobilization and the revolution strategy of the CPC around the Northern Expeditionary Army entering into Jingdezhen Town, and discusses the success and failures of the Labor Movement led by the CPC. Except for the introduction and the conclusion, the paper is consisted by three chapters as following.The second chapter discusses the social and historical background of the Labor Movement of Jingdezhen Town. Since Ming and Qing Dynasties, on the social control system, the trade association, the Hall and the government had been performing their duties with intercoordination and mutual dependence; on the class relationship, the kiln owner and the kiln labor had been unity and opposition; on the geopolitics, the outer and the local、the Duchang group and the Leping group had been mutual repulsion and fusion, which brought huge challenge for the local social governing and profound effect to the development of the party in Jingdezhen Town, especially the tradition of “Da Pai Tou”.The third chapter discusses the found and activity of the Civilian Night School between 1925 and 1926.The CPC had paid attention to the potential of the Labor movement in Jingdezhen Town early. According to the realistic of Jingdezhen Town, by founding the Night School, the CPC provided education for the labor and developed organizations, trying to make the movement tradition accord with the revolution pathway. And after careful preparation and endeavor, the labor movement transformed from initiation for the economic profits to more constitutive and more contemporaneity gradually.The fourth chapter discusses that the transformation of the political situation after recovery is how to have an effect the labor movement in Jingdezhen Town and the effect of the Labor movement led by the CPC through the fight between the Duchang group and the Leping group. After recovery, the labor was engaged in the fight of the labor movement, established a large of organizations such as the labor union and the worker’s pickets and owned arms with the lead of the CPC. After breakout of the cooperation between the CPC and the Nationalist Party, the labor movement was in valley suddenly under the strike of the right belonging to the Nationalist Party. And the fight between the Duchang group and the Leping group makes it clear that the intervention extent and the transformation ability of the CPC joining in the labor movement in Jingdezhen Town are very limited.The study of the paper indicates that the tradition of the trade association and the geo-politics provide favorable chance for the CPC joining in the labor movement in Jingdezhen Town, which also restricts the development extent and cardinal direction of the labor movement led by the CPC lately.
