When human rights and Marxism were introduced into China, Modern China was facing unprecedented national crisis that that was difficult and unsettled times. At that time, China was colonized by western powers, torn by warlordism and domestic capitalist economy developed rapidly. The labor movements, struggling for social and economic rights, which were organized by sailors and miners, emerged at the historic moment. The Canton-Hong Kong strike and boycott of1925-1926that broke out during the first revolutionary civil war was anti-imperialistic and patriotic movement of nationalism. The Movement had outstandingly history meanings and one of the meanings was that Chinese working class were slowly becoming part of the political scene.Su Zhaozheng, experienced multiple status such as sailor, a nationalist, a communist, the foremost leader of the Communist Party during these labor movements.Revolution-minded Su Zhaozheng had not only completely changed track and became a tower of strength of the Communist Party, but also affected the whole nation. At the same time, the practical experience of the Communist Party reacted upon Su Zhaozheng. Su Zhaozheng provided the Communist Party with a sound mass movement practice basis for later revolutions.Though the labor movement leaded by Su Zhaozheng had large scale and great consequence, the result was not as good as it was seems beforehand because of lacking of financial backing and strong leadership. Bad energy springs from conflicts that arised when The Community Party and Kuomintang egos collided during the late stage of the Canton-Hong Kong strike and boycott. This paper is trying to reconceptualize the change of Su Zhaozheng, the middle-age man, during the Canton-Hong Kong strike and boycott of1925-1926by combing in detail Su Zhaozheng’s personal writing, lectures and the newspapers of that time.
