The Development Of Youth Comics In China In Recent 20 Years

As the most popular form of manga, Shōnen mangais deeply loved by individual readers and occupies the mainstream comic market.There are variety of classic and representativeJapanese comics make great influences to development of manga in China, such as ‘Seven Dragon’, ‘Slam Dunk’, ‘Saint Seiya’. Until now, China has emerged out many of the excellentcomics.First, this paper reviews the change characteristics of the development of Shōnen manga in China and discussesthe different stagesand the overall development process of Comics Publications. Second, taking the modern mainstreamingShōnen manga as study object, we make further analysis from background, painting style, sale mode, development trend, and so on. Based on these analysis, the change characteristics of Shōnen manga journals are explained and the advantages and disadvantages of commercialize are presented.Finally, this paper proposes some insights in personnel training for Chinese comics. Paying more attention to Chinese culture and heritage, keening to enhance the humanistic quality, adjusting the selection mode for comic talent, all are meaningful measures.
