A Research On Hengshui Yangko Dance Of Happiness

Yanko dance is a very popular folk art in northern China,which features by flexible body twists,traditional costume with bright colors and flute drum cymbals.People perform yanko dance on the occasion of various festivals or great celebrating events.This article will focus on Hengshui yangko dance of happiness,which is a rural folk dance in Jizhong Plain with less influence.From the view of art form,it belongs to normal dance form with dance,instrumental accompaniment.Or we can say it belongs to the category of folk dance.Therefore,from the perspective of communication,its influence is rather limited,but not unknown to the public.As an intangible cultural heritage item,Hengshui yangko dance has been briefly reported by local news propaganda department.Reviewing of the existing theories and researches,most of them are superficial because of technical requirements,the limit of the era,or the level of understanding.A systematic and in-depth summary is urgently demanded,especially in face of the new problems occurring with new social environment.Therefore,this study provides a new topic of an era.As this project is the organic integration of music and dance,in order to make the research work have a definite object,the research should be carried out from the point of musicology and dance theory,such as the theory of musical instrument and folk music,dance ecology,dance history and so on.With the aid of these theories,we can have a better understanding of the Yanko folk dance.At the meantime,this research cannot be consummated without the help of social science such as folklore and history.The author will absorb the merits of different fields to make up the weak points,and take a down-to-the-earth road to carry out the study.Through the field investigation and data collection,we have gained a more systematic and deeper knowledge of Yangko dance.With an in-depth investigation and research on the history,spreading area,art form of Yangko dance,we get to know the reserving situation of yangko dance and figure out a series of viable protective measures.The yangko dance in 2009 was listed as the provincial intangible cultural heritage,but people don't know much about it.It has not been widely spread and academically studied.Hengshui yangko dance of happiness belongs to this kind of vulnerable species,which deserves our attention and care.We hope this study can arouse the attention of experts and scholars and ultimately help the inheriting and spreading of this folk dance.With our efforts,may all the folk arts seize the opportunity in the new era,face the challenge,continuously carry out reform and innovation and figure out of path of survival,development,prosperity.
