The Origin Of Imagery Thinking By Chinese Calligraphy

Imagery thinking is a very characteristic mode of thinking in Chinese traditional ideology,and it is an important subject in the cultural exchange,comparison and promotion between the East and the West.There have been many achievements in the study of imagery thinking,mainly focused on the application of imagery thinking,with aesthetic and philosophical perspective,to re interpret the cultural heritage of art,literature,traditional medicine and so on.This article is about the imagery thinking itself,to research on forming the imagery thinking framework and the psychological process,in order to reflect the psychological activities of imagery thinking in a cognizing view by analyzing the process of encoding and decoding when Chinese characters processing the information activities,to Establish a primary system of imagery thinking which is independent from concept thinking system by comprehensively analyzing various works in different fields,and try to summarize a analysis model that run through the Chinese culture and independent from the "western" academic system which emphasis on linear thinking.Taking an example by interpreting the calligraphy in a more in-depth way than previous imagery thinking study,to provide a reference that the imagery thinking summarized in this paper apply in other areasIn this paper,the Chinese characters in the imagery is different from the imagery of the Chinese calligraphy,the two should be studied respectively.the imagery in Characters enhance and inherit imagery thinking,while calligraphy is an artistic form when imagery thinking in advanced stage;the imagery thinking used to encode and decode Chinese characters is its primary form that can be found in the culture whose people still use letters today,while the imagery thinking to interpret the calligraphy is advanced,which is a unique psychological activity when people taking China traditional culture and classical aesthetics related activities.Imagery thinking is not only an aesthetic experience,but a thinking model that parallel with the concept thinking,aesthetic activity just is a psychological behavior using imagery thinking to reflect the objective existence.Chinese traditional culture and classical aesthetics in the dominant imagery thinking.
