Singing Skills And Art Features Of Hometown Is In Beijing

The fusion of Beijing Opera elements into the national vocal music make our national vocal music style more distinct national character and stylistic, distinctive national characteristics is the indispensable factor of the vigorous development of China national vocal music. Beijing Opera is known as the "quintessence" of Chinese nation, it is also one of China's intangible cultural heritage, and has a distinct national characteristics. Basic skills of Peking Opera are singing, dialogue, acting and acrobatic combat, and are four kinds of artistic techniques of opera performances. "Play song" began in the late 90 s and early 1980 s, is a new "species" of musical art in the field of Chinese music, with a character that close to a particular kind of Drama Category in its music form or singing style. This paper will take the song “in the home is in Beijing” as an example, which is a “play song” style song in my concert, to analyze its opera elements' singing skills and artistic characters. And hoping to provide some help to singers in understanding this kind of songs, and a better singing in this kind of songs' characters and qualities. The creative background of “in the home is in Beijing” based on the Beijing folklore, and the song has a prominent opera melody characteristics, drawing on traditional elements of opera music, Jingyun dagu and rap art, combining with modern composer creative approach, and expressed both distinct local characteristics and a sense of contemporaneity.
