Dostoyevsky's “Petersburg Writing”

and reason,East and West Roads,the deep thinking of the direction of the development of Russia and the spirit of Russians.Those researches sum up Dostoevsky's special contribution of “Petersburg writing” and “Petersburg's traditional” value and status in Russian Literature.I hope this thesis can enrich the research of Dostoevsky's literature,and contribute to the integrity of the “Petersburg theme” of Russian literature.The introduction part mainly introduced the Dostoevsky of Russian literature in “Petersburg tradition”.It includes the review of Dostoevsky's “Petersburg writing” at home and abroad,what is the “Petersburg tradition” of Russian literature,Dostoevsky's inheritance and transcendence of Pushkin and Gogol,and the purpose,the methods and the significance of the study on Dostoevsky's “Petersburg writing”.The first chapter has analyzed “mystery of people” as the core of the multiple themes of Dostoevsky's “Petersburg writing”,which includes what are the reasons for the poor to be “poor”,whether the poor can use unscrupulous tactics for the right purpose,and which is more perfect between faith and reason.The reason for the poor's condition is not only because of their kind weak character,but also because of the profound social reasons.While the poor in Dostoevsky's writing can always willing to suffer poverty and not lose their faith to mind,and this is what the most precious revelation which the poor gives to the world.The blind pursuit of the modern enlightenment and especially the rationalism leads to the change of modern people and social tragedy,so of Petersburg.Dark flowers?Magic City?Sin City and the ‘Nineveh' which calls for repentance,all these city images communicate and promote the “Petersburg text” theme——the emotion philosophy about the “mystery of people”,the modernity criticism of Russia,the proverbs given to the future path of Russia and the Russian.This controls the atmosphere and tone of the “Petersburg text”,and format a special charming artistic expression.These images are the city of Dostoevsky's impression of sublimation,and are full of his cultural criticism and his profound insight of prophecy.The third chapter analyzed Dostoevsky's Petersburg city space.The specific urban space is the expression of the ideology of the social class in this space.Haymarket,cottage and attic,basement,tavern,Vasiliev Island,Neva and Nevsky Avenue,all these specific city spatial locations compose of the Petersburg from the perspective of the poor,and show the different conditions which belongs to the respective
